SOUTHAM HERITAGE
CHRISTMAS (or any occasion) CARDS

This card is based on an original found in the collection archives and was almost certainly created by a local artist but unfortunately we have no records of who that person might have been or the year in which it was drawn, although the shop names may give a hint if someone recognises them, or perhaps they are fictional names.

This seasonal card is an artist’s impression of how Southam’s Tithe Barn would have looked in about 1600. The foundations of a massive medieval stone barn were discovered when construction work began on Tithe Lodge in 2012. Tithe Lodge and Tithe Place were subsequently named after this barn.

This card shows the St James Church Choir assembling for practice on a cold snowy winter’s day. Like the other cards this one is blank inside and does not refer to Christmas so can be used at any time of the year.

This card depicts the Craven Arms in the coaching era (early 19th Century) when Southam was an important stopping point on the journey from London to the north.

These exclusive cards cost just  £1.50 each
(The card is blank inside so can be used for any occasion.)

The cards are available by calling into our Exhibition Room in Tithe Place on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. Alternatively for requests from further afield please email southamheritage@hotmail.com with your requirements.
